About the foundation

Jahris Green Empowerment Foundation is a nonprofit organisation committed to building a future where people and the environment grow together. We work at the intersection of environmental restoration and community empowerment, because we believe a healthy planet and thriving people are not separate goals; they are the same goal. Founded on the conviction that real change begins at the grassroots level, we partner with local communities, youth, leaders, and women to restore degraded lands, promote clean and sustainable living, and open doors to green economic opportunities. From tree planting and ecosystem restoration to green skills training and climate awareness campaigns, everything we do is designed to leave both people and the planet better than we found them. We implement actionable goals that mitigate climate change in the most affected and vulnerable communities in Nigeria, equipping the girl child, women, and youth with the knowledge, tools, and support to choose a greener, safer planet.
